You're a Serial Stitcher! - Confirmed Level

Hello my friend!

It's been a week since I came back from my English trip to the Knitting & Stitching Show in London ... and i've been ill for a week since! I've invested so much in the last few months that my body asked me to rest a bit when I got back!

Now that I'm feeling better I thought that I'd write the last article in this series. We started at the very beginning with the first article her about the beginner level, then the intermediate level, followed by the expert level.

Today I'm going to explore the last level.. when you're a confirmed stitcher!

Serial Embroiderer

You have become a serial embroiderer .. ! You embroider everything, everywhere and every minute!

You always have an piece of embroidery in your bag that you get out as soon as you can ... at the beach, in the park, on the train and especially in the waiting room at the doctors and you embroider without embarrassment in front of everyone!

I bet you even have several projects running at the same time .. a big project, on which you work regularly, and a little one that you go back to from time to time to change the air a little and keep you motivated for the big one ?? Wouldn't it be great if you could graft extra arms on to be able to embroider more, faster, more often, and longer! (read my article on how to save time while embroidering here)

I often say that if I could sell spare arms at my embroidery shows, or even better sell you more time..I would be a very, very rich woman;)

Stitch until you drop

Another trait of the confirmed stitcher is that you're really looking for something new. Either in the designs that make you want to embroider them or in learning new techniques of embroidery to diversify your embroidery pieces. You're a little fed up with embroidering other designer's designs aren't you? and your stock of charts and kits almost touch the ceiling at home I bet ?!

You practically create your own designs to really have the look and the result you want..because what you're looking for doesn't exist yet..You even ask yourself the question 'should I start to create my own brand?'... you may not have the time or the desire but you're quite capable!

Conclusion

So here concludes this series of articles on the different levels of being an embroiderer .. it's not at all important to really know where you are with these levels. These are just my observations and findings from all these years of designing and multiple conversations with embroiderers.

The beauty of embroidery is that stitching and crossing threads means that you're already a winner and you have chosen this wonderful creative hobby ... no matter where you are in the level gauge, and that's fantastic! Keep it up, carry on and spread the stitching virus around you!
