2022 Peacock Temperature SAL - February

 

Hi there!

Welcome back to my blog for this second glimpse at the 2022 Peacock SAL photos! I’m so pleased to have welcomed so many new stitchers into my Temperature SAL group on Facebook and seeing the first feathers take shape has been really fun and exciting. You’ll find some of the photos lower in this article.

I’ll also be revealing the name of the March pack contest.. so keep reading to find out whether it’s you!

2022 Peacock SAL - February

The 2022 Peacock Temperature SAL started on the 1st January, as you all may well know, and we're now 414 participants in the group so far.. which is fantastic! I hope that many more will join over the year!

The majority of the members are stitching the Peacock SAL and they're already looking great. Some other ladies are stitching the 2020 Tree of Love SAL with the 2022 temperatures and a few are even stitching my original Flower Temperature SAL that I created in 2017… We’ll be seeing some lovely stitching taking shape over this year!

March Pack Contest Winner

A few days ago I launched a contest on my social networks to guess the colours or theme, of the  March thread pack in the thread subscription...I didn’t need to give a clue this month but the colours inspiration is seasonally based! I’ll be sending out this pack next week and will reveal the colours in a later article.

You all let your imagination go to work and you gave me lots of different and interesting answers! The names of all those who gave at least one correct answer were put in a hat to be drawn at random. The winner of one of the March pack thread is…..

Quote of the Month - February

Hello to you!

This weeks article will be short and sweet and won't take up much of your precious time!
We're already almost half way through the second month of the year! February!

The month of February evokes one main thing to me when I think about what this month represents..it's the month of LOVE!
Although maybe a commercial event, Valentines day is embedded in us as lovers day, and we can't but help thinking about our chosen loved one on the 14th February.

I have been thinking about Love a lot recently and how important it is in life..and wonder whether Love is Life itself and that it is probably one of the most important things to live for...

Anyhow philosophical subjects apart, I'll be sharing a quote of the month with you about Love, that I find really eloquent and true...

Quote of the Month

The quote below is from Robert Morley, and it really resonates with me. It hasn't always been that way and I've learned how to do it!

I find that since loving myself first, I have so much more patience, goodwill and love for the people around me! I used to think it was selfish to put your own well-being before that of others, and I often felt very frustrated trying to take care of everyone before me. I was often in a bad mood and not very pleasant to live with!

Tree of Love SAL 2020 - February

Hello!

Here we are already the 5th of March  .. can you imagine that we're already entering the third month of the year ?! The first quarter of the year in which there has been rather alarming news about the world health situation, increased by the media, and in my opinion used to create stress and fear, in order to keep our minds well occupied so as to be able to divert our attention from closer to home subjects.

You probably didn't know that the big Parisian creative show "Aiguille en Fête" has been canceled and postponed to June as a precaution. I have been thinking of my colleagues (I've never participated in this show) who had to work very hard to be ready for this fair, and also of all the stitchers who have organised transport to get there .. it hasn't been totally cancelled though which is one positive way to look at it.
I'll be joining many of my creative colleagues to offer free shipping in France from March 12th to 15th but I'll tell you more about that next week.

During these "troubled times" my advice to you would be to take out your work in progress and take this time to make progress and why not finish your stitching?! Whatever the reason, stay in, stay warm and do something creative and positive!

Just to give you a little more motivation, I'm going to be sharing photos of the SAL group's progress with the pretty full February branches.

Tree of Love SAL - February

We are more than 100 registered for this SAL and for the moment 64 in the group on Facebook. There are new stitchers arriving from time to time and who delight in meeting the rest of the group, choosing their fabrics and threads and then catching up their hearts ... 

Here are the February branches from all over the world ... France, Italy, Holland, Australia, Canada and USA ... for now! All different and unique for each stitcher. 
They're great aren't they? I am very happy to see how completely different each tree is from each other, and how much everyone is having fun stitching and being together in this group.

Congratulations to all those up to date and I strongly encourage all the others wherever you are on your SAL!
